General Interest Meetings: 9/14/11 in Whitehall Town Hall & 9/15/11 in Jefferson High School

A general interest meeting has bee set up in Whitehall on the 9/14/11 at 6:30pm and the Boulder area on 9/15/11 at 7pm in the Jefferson County High School Cafeteria. These meetings will explain the general outline of the MAPP Process and what we hope to accomplish. We want anyone who is interested in participating in this important project to come and find out more about it.
You may have noticed fliers appearing around town. We are hoping to spread the word and create a widespread community interest in this project, which we hope will result in widespread involvement from the community. We are also sending out information with return stamped postcards to key organizations, businesses, and individuals. Please fill these out and send them back to us so we can get an idea of who wants to be involved.
Together we can MAPP a healthier Jefferson County!

MAPP Starts (8/01/11)

Jefferson county public health department with the help of two AmeriCorps VISTAs will facilitate the first comprehensive community health assessment for the county.

Our goals are to develop a future vision for the community, identify the communities health needs and resources, and create a plan of action to address these needs.

In order to meet these goal we have started to enlist community members and organizations.  With a strong community involvement, the assessment will accurately describe public health concerns and create an action plan.

We need community member involvement! If you would like to comment, voice concern, or become involved please feel free to contact us.
